Embedded Developer (Hardware-Near) – High-Speed drones

Do you love embedded development where reliability and performance matter in the real world? Do you want to build systems for high-speed drones in a high-ceilinged, engineer-heavy and innovative company?

Become a part of TRDP ApS

You will develop, test and optimize embedded software for our high speed drone solutions and drone platform. You will collaborate across a broad engineering group (Mechanical, Mechatronics, AI, Robotics, Embedded and Software) and interface closely with perception/AI work to ensure system-level performance.

Field tests can take place outdoors in relevant environments.

Your primary tasks

  • Develop and optimize embedded software in C/C++ for performance and reliability

  • Develop on STM32 (or similar MCU) and work with embedded Linux (bring-up, integration, debugging)

  • Implement and validate communication interfaces: CAN / I2C / SPI / UART / Ethernet and integrate sensor/actuator systems

  • Hardware-near work: bring-up support, wire harnessing, practical prototyping, and integration of sensors/actuators

  • Build test setups and run verification in both lab and relevant outdoor environments

Must-haves

  • Strong C/C++

  • STM32 (or similar MCU) experience

  • Embedded Linux

  • CAN / I2C / SPI / UART / Ethernet (or the majority of these) and experience integrating sensor/actuator systems

  • Hardware-near work: bring-up, harnessing, practical prototyping

  • Solid embedded/system debugging skills and a “make it work in practice” mindset

About you

You are curious, proactive and self-motivated — the kind of person who will fight for what you hold dear. You take ownership, stay practical, and enjoy solving hard integration problems. You love building real systems, collaborating closely, and thriving in an innovative, engineer-driven environment.

Accessibility

Physical disability is not a barrier. Our facilities are wheelchair accessible, and we are happy to discuss practical adjustments so you can succeed in the role.
