Financial Controller

To support our growing and increasingly complex international business, we are looking for a Financial Controller with strong hands-on accounting experience to join our finance team at our headquarters in Tvis.

The role

As Financial Controller, you will hold a broad and responsible position within the finance function. We are looking for a profile who works independently, takes ownership of tasks, and proactively identifies and addresses accounting and process-related matters.

The role combines operational accounting and routine bookkeeping tasks with financial controlling, ad hoc assignments, and opportunities to grow in responsibility over time. You will become part of a well-established finance team working with digital processes.

Key responsibilities

You will have a broad role combining daily accounting tasks with process improvement and cross-functional support. Your main areas of responsibility will be:

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage invoicing and sales in our digital process flow, supporting warehouse and direct shipments
  • Perform all-round accounting and bookkeeping in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
  • Handle accounts receivable and payable, including reconciliations and support to credit management
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing, VAT reporting, and travel/employee expense reconciliation

Process Improvement & Ad hoc Tasks

  • Contribute to process optimization and automation within finance functions
  • Act as backup across finance functions when needed
  • Administer company leasing cars and related accounting tasks

Your profile

We are looking for a pragmatic and hands-on Financial Controller who enjoys taking ownership of tasks and working close to the transactions. You are structured, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment where you can both contribute independently and support your colleagues.

Experience & Expertise

  • Several years in all-round accounting, bookkeeping or controller roles
  • Solid knowledge of invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and VAT (international VAT is a strong advantage)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and digital finance workflows (Business Central experience is a plus)

Work Style & Personal Qualities

  • Independent, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Positive mindset and enjoys collaborating across teams

Education & Languages

  • Relevant financial education (e.g. Financial Economist, HD(R), accounting or similar)
  • Fluent in Danish and good working proficiency in English
