Central Jutland Permanent employment Full time 27-02-2026 On behalf of Energinet in Fredericia, Moment Search & Selection is seeking a HVDC Engineer to contribute to securing and developing tomorrow's high-voltage installations. As a valued member of the Substation department team, you will work closely with your colleagues to ensure successful construction of high-voltage substations - critical components in the green transition of the electricity grid in Denmark. Work that matters As HVDC Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to prepare standards and tender material for system components such as HVDC systems, Static Var Compensators (SVC), STATCOM, and synchronous machines. You will also participate in specific projects, for example, replacing the control system for the HVDC Storebælt link and upgrading SVC in Radsted. Key tasks and responsibilities: Preparing tender material for upgrading the control system (Control & Protection) for an HVDC or SVC system Preparing tender material for synchronous compensators. Supporting design reviews for converter stations. Participating in development and implementation projects. The Specialist-role combines in-depth technical work and collaboration across disciplines - requiring you to act as an executor, supporter, and controller. What you bring to the role You hold a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or in a related field and combine this with practical experience. This background gives you strong technical expertise in high-voltage installations, system components, and control systems. You have in-depth knowledge of Line Commutated Converter (LCC), Voltage Source Converter (VSC), Network Code for HVDC, and grid-forming/grid-following converters. Your core technical competencies include: HVDC systems Static Var Compensation (SVC) Synchronous machines STATCOM / e-STATCOM In addition, you possess solid contractual and commercial understanding, enabling you to manage supplier interactions and case handling within your area of responsibility. You are a natural team player who thrives on projects and specialist teams. You enjoy working on complex tasks that require deep focus and can plan and manage your work independently. At the same time, you are comfortable in a role with multiple touchpoints and collaboration across different disciplines, which calls for strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
