Release Train Engineer - Automation Apply locations Hillerod posted on Posted 3 Days Ago time left to apply End Date: 13 April 2026 (10 days left to apply) job requisition id JR5209 We are looking for a highly experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) & Transformation Lead to drive and scale lean-agile delivery across our Global MES and Automation landscape. This is a key role where you will both shape and execute our agile transformation in a complex, global, and regulated environment. You will initially act as Scrum Master for a pilot team and evolve into leading an Agile Release Train (ART) as additional teams onboard. Your main responsibilities will include: Establish and mature a lean-agile operating model tailored for MES and automation in a regulated (GxP) environment Facilitate core agile ceremonies across teams, including iteration events, PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt Drive change management and adoption across teams, functions, and sites Optimize flow using Kanban, WIP limits, and data-driven improvements to increase predictability and throughput Integrate change control and validation into delivery processes to ensure compliance and audit readiness Orchestrate planning and roadmaps in collaboration with Product Owners, Architecture, and key stakeholders Coach Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, Product Owners, and teams in agile/SAFe, DevOps, and built-in quality Monitor and communicate delivery metrics (e.g. velocity, cycle time, predictability) to stakeholders and leadership Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments in a global, matrixed setup Drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment between business outcomes, quality, and compliance About the area and the team You’ll be based in Denmark within our on-site automation hub, reporting to the Head of Automation (DK) and working closely (dotted line) with our Solutions Architect, who is currently based in the U.S. As you grow into the role, you will also collaborate closely with our U.S. automation team. While our development teams span much of Europe, Denmark is home to a vibrant core of automation engineers. The department is multicultural, friendly, and fast-moving—built on collaboration and continuous learning—where you’ll partner across teams to deliver robust, scalable automation in a supportive, modern engineering environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 7+ years of experience within software delivery. 3+ years in a leading role (e.g. RTE, Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or senior Scrum Master) Proven experience scaling agile ways of working from single teams to multiple teams Strong knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and lean principles Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps (used by us), Jira, Confluence, or similar Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across functions and seniority levels Fluency in written and spoken English Qualifications (nice to have): Experience working in regulated environments (GxP), including change control and validation SAFe certifications (e.g. RTE, SASM, SPC) Experience with pharma automation environments (e.g. PAS-X, Syncade, DeltaV or similar) Experience with change management frameworks (e.g. 7S or ADKAR) Familiarity with DevOps practices and built-in quality approaches Experience working in global, matrixed organizations To be successful, you will need: A strong systems-thinking mindset and the ability to optimize flow across teams The ability to balance delivery speed, quality, and compliance A structured and analytical approach combined with strong facilitation skills The ability to navigate complexity and influence stakeholders across a global organization A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for driving transformation Your application Please submit your application.
