Our Four-stroke Small Bore Testing, Control & Operation Department in Holeby is looking for a new colleague with interest in and knowledge about engine control, electronic and parameters. You will be involved in all processes (planning, testing, verification and administration) in conjunction with the full portfolio of four-stroke medium speed diesel / dual fuel engines; both generating sets (GenSets) and propulsion engines. A day in the position will typically consist of a mix between development considerations, support, data study and other design related tasks, hereunder engine part, parameters and electrical control system for the engine. The job includes travel activities, as the activities will be carried out at our licensees and customers You will play an important role in: You will be involved in new development task as we are deeply involved in transition to the green future for the marine business. Your expertise will extend to conducting Electrical design and implementation on our portfolio of engines. This involve measures at the systems and full system integration overview. You'll oversee the entire spectrum of engine measurements, from planning and execution to evaluation, verification, and reporting. Certification and testing of parent engine performance will also be under your purview. You will actively engage in various testing phases, shop tests, troubleshooting, development projects, field observations and operational follow up in service. Your responsibilities will include meticulous planning and execution of measurements, as well as their thorough evaluation. A key part of your job will be to devise retrofitting solutions that align our engine portfolio with the Green Transition. Furthermore, you will contribute to the decarbonization of our small bore four-stroke portfolio and ensure readiness for future fuels and zero-emission objectives. In other words, your tasks will be varied, impactful, and central to shaping the future of sustainable engine technology. We imagine that you: Have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. Electrical engineer, Marine engineer, or similar.) Have engineering experience within the area of electrical design Have thorough knowledge about troubleshooting in electrical cabinets or control (PLC) systems Have knowledge about instrumentation of measurement equipment Have knowledge about Vibration measurements and systems for these Have basic knowledge of combustion engines and control Are able to Travel between 50 and 100 days a year. Have good communication skills in English (both written and verbal) are essential for this role, (proficiency in Danish can be advantageous, but is not a requirement). The department is handling all automation and control systems in our portfolio, likewise parameters and adjustments. We are dealing with testing of new engine types, performance evaluation, Operation task for new deliveries, warranty handling and yard support.
