Financial Controller - HQ I Rains Financial Controller - HQ Do you have a strong eye for detail and a structured approach to finance? To support this, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Accounting & Controlling team. This is a role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, processes, and cross-functional collaboration — and who wants to play a key role in supporting our retail business across countries. The Role As our Financial Controller, you will work with financial operations across our retail markets and holdings. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, supporting monthly closing processes, and contributing to day-to-day finance tasks related to our retail business. In close collaboration with teams across Finance, Retail, and Logistics, you will play a key role in maintaining structure, improving processes, and supporting business decisions through data and analysis. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Closing Support monthly closing and reporting across retail entities Prepare reconciliations, financial analyses, and period account documentation Ensure accurate and structured financial data for monthly and year-end reporting Operations & Compliance Handle VAT reporting and compliance across European retail markets Support retail finance operations, including payroll and customs-related processes Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and finance procedures Process & Business Support Improve and document finance processes with a focus on scalability and automation Collaborate closely with Retail HQ, stores, and cross-functional stakeholders across markets Support business decisions through financial insights, analysis, and operational follow-up The Ideal Profile A solid financial foundation combined with strong analytical skills is important in this role, along with a genuine curiosity about how numbers reflect the reality of the business. Working with data comes naturally to you — but just as important is the motivation to explain what it means and put it into perspective in a way that creates value for the organization. We are looking for someone who is structured, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders. We imagine you: Have a background in auditing or controlling Have experience with financial reporting and reconciliations Are comfortable working with data and financial systems Are structured and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset Enjoy working cross-functionally and communicating with different stakeholders Are a team player with a positive and collaborative approach Are fluent in Danish (English is a plus) The position is full-time with your workplace at our headquarters in Lisbjerg, Aarhus N, Denmark.
