Innovation Project & Partnership Specialist

Real climate action requires more than good intentions. It requires connection, innovation, and unstoppable momentum.

As an Innovation Project & Partnership Specialist at Hydrogen Valley DK (CEMTEC), you will be a catalyst for decarbonizing Europe's energy systems. You won't just manage projects; you will connect the right minds, secure crucial funding, and help build the resilient, sustainable infrastructure our future depends on.

Hydrogen Valley DK (CEMTEC) is a non-profit knowledge broker and project enabler for resilient, decentralised energy systems, located in Hobro, North Jutland, with focus on EU-funded research and innovation. We identify societal and industrial challenges and match them with innovation, partners and funding.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an Innovation Project & Partnership Specialist to strengthen our work with Danish and European innovation projects, including Horizon Europe, LIFE, EUDP and Interreg. In this role, you will help identify new opportunities, create partnerships and contribute to the development of collaborative innovation projects. Working closely with colleagues, companies, municipalities, universities and international partners, you will connect societal and industrial challenges with the right people, ideas and funding.

You'll play a key role in building and maintaining the partnerships that underpin our projects while helping ensure that project activities continue to move forward. Moreover, you’ll enjoy a high degree of independence, with the freedom to take initiative, develop your own network and help shape future collaborations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate and follow up on CEMTEC's participation in EU and national projects

  • Identify, scout and build relationships with potential partners for current and future projects

  • Represent Hydrogen Valley DK at meetings, conferences and partner events

  • Support stakeholder engagement and co-creation ahead of project deployment

  • Help track funding calls and support proposal development (Horizon Europe, LIFE, EUDP, Interreg and others)

  • Contribute a problem-first perspective: connecting societal and industrial challenges to the right innovation and the right people

WHO YOU ARE

  • Extroverted and energized by building relationships and networks

  • Curious and proactive, with an eye for identifying new opportunities for collaboration

  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently, without close supervision

  • Motivated by climate impact and the green transition, and able to turn that into concrete project work

  • Structured enough to keep project commitments, deadlines, and follow-ups on track

  • Comfortable operating across sectors: research institutions, industry, municipalities, and EU-level bodies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant background in engineering, environmental science, business or a related field

  • Fluent English, required for EU project work; Danish is a strong plus

  • Experience with or strong interest in energy systems, sustainability, and innovation project work

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and collaborative projects is an advantage.

PRACTICALITIES

  • Based in Hobro, North Jutland: physical presence required, with flexibility to work from home some days

  • Full-time position.

  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and EU)
